We only ship samples with a purchase while supplies last. We are unable to reship samples if they arrive damaged or missing.

No. Shani Darden Skin Care products are not tested on animals. We support alternative, cruelty-free methods of safety testing.

iS Clinical products are never tested on animals and do not use ingredients sourced from animals.

Control Corrective does not test any of its ingredients on animals and they are certified through the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC).

Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare is cruelty-free and does not test on animals — and most are vegan.

Retinol Reform SHOULD NOT be used when you are pregnant and/or breastfeeding. Please consult your physician to determine the best time to start or resume using Retinol Reform after having your baby.
Results will vary depending on your skin type and what you are using Retinol Reform to treat. For acne, you should notice your skin improving after a week and soon see a smoother surface with an increased glow. For reducing discolorations, it may take a few months to see spot lightening benefits. For wrinkles and fine lines, you may notice a visible difference anywhere from a week to a month after beginning use.
Shani believes wearing SPF every day is a must no matter the weather or the products you use. So, always apply sunscreen as part of your skin care routine. Find Shani’s favorite Sunscreens here. With Retinol Reform, stay mindful about this daily practice because retinol can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun. When cleansing your skin at night, do not use a scrub or anything abrasive before applying Retinol Reform. Then, follow the serum with your nighttime moisturizer.
You may apply a small amount of retinol under your eyes, being careful to avoid your lashes, eyelid, and lower lid margin. Because the skin surrounding your eyes can be very sensitive, you should start slow — one or two times per week — and build up the frequency of use to minimize possible irritation. Due to the skin's delicate nature, however, all skin types may not be able to handle this under-eye treatment. And, of course, don’t forget to use sunscreen regularly when using a retinol product!

After you cleanse, you may apply a toner like Daily Toning Essence before using retinol.

Shani formulated Retinol Reform for use on your face, neck, and décolletage.

Use Retinol Reform after you cleanse at night, then apply moisturizer if needed.

Shani recommends first using one to two pumps of Retinol Reform all over your entire face, neck, and décolletage one evening a week. Each week, add another day until you are eventually using the product as often as your skin can tolerate. If you have dry or sensitive skin, you may find that you can only use the serum two or three times per week until your skin can tolerate more frequent applications — adjusting to this may take longer than the first eight weeks of use. If you have oily skin, you may build up to daily use faster than other skin types. It's very important to build up slowly and only use Retinol Reform at night, so you don’t irritate your skin.

If you’re not 100% satisfied with a product and it’s eligible for return, you can start your return request here within 30 days of your order fulfillment date. Please note that all skin care devices, international orders and products where more than half of the product has been used are not eligible for return. 
Devices including the Déesse Pro LED mask, Nuface Trinity Pro, Lightstim for Acne or Wrinkles, Nion Opus Luxe and Dew & Go Microneedling Stamp are non-refundable and are not eligible for return.  
We do understand it may take a few tries to find out a product isn’t a perfect match for your skin. We do not accept returns or exchanges for any products where more than half of the product has been used. 
We are not responsible for personal damage to an item, if an item has been dropped, spilled, stolen, etc. We cannot accept for refund. 
If you purchase your Shani Darden Skin Care item from one of our authorized retailers, please contact them directly for assistance, we unfortunately are unable to refund or replace your item. 
We do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders and shipments.
You can expect to receive your refund within four weeks of shipping your package back to Shani Darden Skin Care. In many cases you will receive a refund sooner, but we estimate four (4) weeks to allow for the time required by return shipping (up to 14 days), product inspection at our returns facility (up to 5 business days), and processing from your bank or credit card company (up to 5 business days). We will notify you via email with the details of your refund and issue it in the form of payment used to make your purchase once your return process is complete.
