Retinol Reform^®

I am on my second bottle. I used to steal my aunt’s and I noticed it made my skin smoother, and also helped with taming my breakouts. I use it about once a week. The day after my skin is glowing, by day 2 there’s still a bit of a glow. Days 3 and 4 my skin is a bit dry and patchy which is a little more noticeable when wearing makeup. I have to wear more waterbased foundations on days 3-5.

My skin did purge when I first used it. It still does “purge” but the little pimples pretty much come to a head immediately and shrink away pretty quickly. I never pop them even when they turn into white heads. I wouldn’t use other exfoliants while using this. I would usually tone my face with glycolic acid every night, but now I’ve limited to every three nights. I also used to clean my face with African black soap, I now use a creamy face wash like La Roche Posay daily cleanser, and I use my Cera-Ve salicylic every other day. If I used my African black soap my skin would for little milia around my nose and mouth area which signaled irritation.

It would be good to find a good moisturizer too. I’m still on the hunt for the perfect one, but La Roche Posay’s AP moisturizer is not bad for the price.

Overall, I have noticed my skin is more radiant. Does it help with fine lines? Meh, not fully sure. The price point is high, but it does last me a while. I will start upping to twice a week pretty soon here.

I've been using this product for almost 3 months now and my skin feels amazing. I used it one night a week for the first month and worked up to 2 nights a week. I spend a lot of time outside so it makes me slightly nervous to work up to more than that. It never made me get dry or break out. This paired with the moisture boost serum and eye renewal cream is a game changer! I've never gotten so many compliments on how "great" my skin looks.
